CERAMIC PRINTED GLASS · VISUAL APPROVAL

Ceramic Printed Glass RFQ and Sample Approval Guide

For printed glass, colour and visual matching matter as much as dimensions. Artwork, colour reference, print coverage and approval workflow should be defined before production.

What artwork format should be used?

Vector artwork or the processor’s requested high-resolution format is preferred, with scale and repeat pattern clearly defined.

How should colour be specified?

RAL, Pantone or physical references may be used, but final appearance is best verified with a sample because glass, ink and heat treatment affect perception.

Full-surface vs partial printing

Print density, coverage and pattern structure can affect production time, appearance and certain performance characteristics.

How does tempering fit into the process?

Ceramic printing is commonly made permanent through heat treatment, so the selected process and glass build-up should be validated by the processor.

When is a mock-up recommended?

For façades, branding, spandrels or visible interior applications, mock-up approval is useful where colour and opacity are critical.
