HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE GLASS · OEM RFQ
How to Prepare an OEM RFQ for Household Appliance Glass
For appliance glass, dimensions and thickness alone are not enough. Part geometry, tolerances, printing, heat treatment, quality control and the serial-production model should be defined together.
Why is a technical drawing critical?
Fixing holes, notches, radii, visible surfaces, mounting points and tolerances at part level improves serial-production compatibility.
How should tempering and heat treatment be specified?
The expected heat treatment should be stated according to product function, and processing steps that cannot be changed later should be clear on the drawing.
How should ceramic print or enamel be described?
Artwork, colour reference, print coverage, opacity and logo position should be separate technical inputs.
Why do tolerances and quality control matter?
For glass components assembled into appliances, hole position, dimensional tolerance, surface and print quality form part of the acceptance criteria.
Can a pilot run be useful?
For a new part, sample, first-article or pilot production can reduce design, assembly and visual-approval risk.
