How to Prepare an OEM RFQ for Furniture and Retail Glass

Furniture-glass quotations should not rely only on total square metres or piece count. Part codes, processing, visible finish, packing and kitting structure materially affect the commercial result.

How should the part list be prepared?

For each part, link the code, glass/mirror type, thickness, finished dimensions, quantity and drawing where needed.

Why specify the edge profile separately?

Polishing, grinding, bevels and special edge geometries affect both processing time and visible quality.

How should mirrors and decorative surfaces be managed?

Mirror type, colour, backing, frosted/satin or printed finishes can be defined using samples and visual references.

Why do kitting and labelling matter?

For flat-pack or assembled products, packing glass by product code, carton or assembly sequence can reduce warehouse and assembly errors.

How should quotations be compared?

Normalize offers against the same part-list revision, processing scope, quality criteria and packing basis.
