GLASS PROCUREMENT · RFQ

Glass RFQ Checklist

An incomplete RFQ produces quotations that cannot be compared. In glass procurement, technical and logistics details should be defined in the same request.

Product definition

State glass type, tint, coating, laminate build-up or decorative finish. A generic request for a “glass price” is commercially weak.

Thickness and dimensions

Specify nominal thickness and jumbo/standard sheet or cut sizes. For project glass, a panel schedule and drawings improve accuracy.

Processing requirements

Tempering, lamination, holes, edgework, printing or special tolerances should be stated upfront.

Quantity and order model

Separate one-off project volume from recurring monthly demand. Make the unit basis clear: m², metric tons, crates or containers.

Delivery and commercial terms

State destination country/city/port, target date and preferred Incoterm such as EXW, FOB or CIF.
