How to Prepare a Glass RFQ for Gulf Projects

For Gulf projects, a generic request for a “tempered glass price” is not enough. Glass schedule, performance targets, processing, quantities and delivery phases should be combined in one technical RFQ.

Why the glass schedule matters

Panel type, dimensions, quantity, build-up and processing details allow a manufacturer to evaluate capacity and pricing more accurately.

How should performance data be specified?

Where relevant, Low-E, solar control, visible light, solar heat gain and other project targets should be stated alongside the product description.

When are BOQs and drawings needed?

For custom sizes, holes, CNC, edgework or multi-layer constructions, BOQs and technical drawings are more reliable than text-only RFQs.

Packing and site conditions

Crates/A-frames, container loading, unloading equipment and phased delivery assumptions should be clarified before order.

Should documentation requirements be shared before quotation?

Yes. Project-required tests, certificates and technical documents should be identified at RFQ stage to reduce later mismatches.
